Self-care is an important part of our wellness. It gives you the energy, and strength to do whatever you need to do every day.  We cannot help support others, such as our loved ones, if we do not take care of ourselves first. Self care is not a luxury, it is a necessity. It helps to improve mental health, and self-esteem.

Carolyn became involved with Threads of Life after her spouse died from a severe fall at his workplace. Life changed drastically that day. She wanted to ensure that other families impacted by workplace tragedy would know that they are not alone on this journey.  Carolyn is a Volunteer Family Guide, a member of the Speaker’s Bureau, and a member of the Sarnia Steps for Life committee. She also volunteers with her local brain injury association.
