Steps for Life 2026: Will you have our back?
The many ways you and your company can support this key health and safety event
For more than 20 years, Steps for Life — Walking for Families of Workplace Tragedy has been the fuel for the growth of Threads of Life’s family support services. And to think that it all started with: a couple of volunteers, key partner funding and support, and a vision. The earliest Steps for Life walks were the base for an annual country-wide fundraising effort to ensure workers and families devastated by a workplace fatality, life-altering injury, or occupational disease had a safe place to turn for support and healing at Threads of Life.
With more than 30 events planned for 2026 — and more communities reaching out to get involved — we continue to need the local, regional, and national commitment of our corporate and occupational health and safety system partners. Partner commitment is the rebar for what the Threads of Life community is building in Steps for Life.
