We
want you!
Has someone in your family or a close friend been:
• seriously injured on the job?
• fatally injured?
• living with an occupational disease?
Threads of Life knows how these tragic and preventable life events can affect families. We are an Association for Workplace Tragedy Family Support connected by a network of volunteers from across the country who have been personally touched by a workplace tragedy.
We believe the power of personal testimony is one of the most effective ways to educate the public about the importance of safety, promote greater accountability for workplace health and safety and debunk the perception that injuries are "just the cost of doing business."
Since 2005 our volunteer members have reached more than
19,000 people.
If you are ready and willing to talk about these issues with the public, we invite you to join Threads of Life and participate in our Speakers Bureau.
We offer:
• Flexible time commitments (you choose when and where
you are willing to speak)
• One or more presentations in a geographic area close to you
• Public venues that can include high schools, companies, conferences and meetings
• Covered travel expenses
• Presentation materials
• Public speaking training
Our members have spoken
to employees, at conferences, schools and other areas and
all of them have received wonderful reviews and many had
never spoken in front of audiences before. We are growing
and would like to train more speakers. For more information, please
contact us at
1-888-567-9490 or send us an e-mail: speakersbureau@threadsoflife.ca.

Anyone who has experienced a workplace tragedy would agree with the mission and vision statements of Threads of Life. If we can only prevent one unnecessary injury from happening, speaking for Threads of Life will be a rewarding experience. We are looking forward to the challenge.
