for Life - Walking for Victims of Workplace Tragedy

In
2010, more than 4,100 people in 28 communities from coast
to coast walked to raise awareness about the importance of injury
prevention in the workplace and to raise funds for family
support programs and services to help victims of workplace
fatalities, life-altering injuries and occupational
disease. The walk raised more than $260,000 (in cash).
In 2011 even more communities will be participating
in the Steps for Life - Walking for Victims of Workplace
Tragedy on May 1, 2011 (in most communities).
Charity of Choice
Steps for Life is Threads of Life primary fundraising
event. It's an annual 5 km walk that is held the first Sunday in May which
traditionally kicks off NAOSH week. Threads of Life is the
charity of choice for many workplace health and safety fundraising and
corporate giving involving occupational health and safety
events.
